1. Who we are
ThreadClarity ("ThreadClarity", "the Service") is operated by Kamyab Infotech Pvt Ltd, trading as Kamyab Infotech, with its registered office at 822 Hemkunt Chambers, 89 Nehru Place, New Delhi, Delhi 110019, India ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account, uploading a chat export, or paying for credits or a retention plan, you ("you", "the customer") accept these Terms of Service. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation, and "you" means that organisation.
2. The service
ThreadClarity ingests chat export files that you already possess — Telegram Desktop exports (HTML and JSON) and WhatsApp .txt exports with their media folders — and processes them into structured output. Specifically, the Service:
- parses the export into individual messages, participants and attachments;
- groups messages into conversation threads using reply-chain tracing, topic clustering and time-gap analysis;
- optionally runs AI analysis (summaries, titles, action items, image description) using an AI provider API key that you supply — see section 8;
- produces downloadable exports in Markdown, CSV, DOCX and XLSX, together with a self-contained HTML viewer and per-thread media manifests;
- optionally, if you subscribe to a retention plan, keeps the processed report hosted, stored and searchable in your account.
We may add, change or withdraw features. If we withdraw a feature you have paid for on a recurring plan, section 10 and our Refund & Cancellation Policy apply.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 (or the equivalent law of your country) to use ThreadClarity. The Service is not designed for, marketed to, or intended to be used by children. You may not create an account on behalf of a child.
You must not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under any applicable sanctions or export control law.
4. Your account
- You must give accurate registration details and keep your email address current — it is how we send billing, security and service notices.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately at support@kamyab.co.in if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Accounts are for a single named user unless you have bought a plan that expressly includes additional seats. Do not share credentials.
- You must not attempt to access another customer's jobs, threads, exports or stored reports, or to circumvent usage limits, rate limits or paywalls.
5. Rights in the chat data you upload
You may only upload chat data that you have the right to upload. Chat exports almost always contain the messages, names, phone numbers, and media of other people who are not ThreadClarity users and who have not agreed to these terms.
By uploading a chat export you represent and warrant, on each and every upload, that:
- you lawfully obtained the export — you were a participant in the conversation, you own or administer the account or workspace it came from, or you were given it by someone who had the right to give it to you;
- you have a lawful basis under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and any other applicable law for uploading the personal data of every third party contained in it, and for having us process it on your instructions;
- you have obtained any consent, notice, authorisation or court order that the law requires in your situation;
- uploading it does not breach any contract, confidentiality obligation, employment policy, non-disclosure agreement, professional privilege, or court order that binds you.
In relation to the personal data inside your uploads, you are the Data Fiduciary and we act as a Data Processor on your documented instructions. We do not decide the purpose for which that data is processed; you do. Section 14 (Indemnity) applies if that representation turns out to be untrue.
We do not pre-screen uploads and we have no practical way to verify your rights in a chat export. That does not make an unlawful upload acceptable, and it does not transfer your responsibility to us.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use ThreadClarity to upload, process, store, generate or distribute:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualises a minor, in any form, without exception. We will preserve evidence and report such material to the appropriate Indian law-enforcement authorities and, where applicable, to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, and terminate the account immediately and without refund.
- Content that is illegal under Indian law or the law of your jurisdiction, including material that infringes copyright, breaches the Information Technology Act, 2000, or is prohibited by the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
- Material used to harass, stalk, dox, threaten, intimidate, blackmail or defame any person — including compiling a chat archive about a person in order to target them.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, or material obtained by unlawful interception, device compromise, spyware or "stalkerware".
- Content that incites violence, terrorism, or hatred against a group on the basis of religion, caste, race, sex, place of birth, or any other protected characteristic.
You must also not: attempt to breach, probe or overload our infrastructure; scrape or reverse-engineer the Service; resell access without a written reseller agreement; upload malware; or use the Service to build a competing product from our outputs.
We may suspend or terminate access immediately, without notice and without refund, for a breach of this section.
7. Intellectual property
What stays yours
You retain all rights, title and interest in the chat exports you upload, in any content within them, and in the generated exports and reports derived from them. We claim no ownership over your data and we do not use your uploaded chat content to train any machine-learning model, ours or anyone else's.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, parse and process your content only to the extent necessary to provide the Service to you, to keep it secure, and to comply with law. That licence ends when the content is deleted (see the retention section of our Privacy Policy).
What stays ours
The ThreadClarity software, algorithms, thread-detection logic, prompt templates, user interface, exporter templates, HTML viewer, documentation, name, logo and brand remain the exclusive property of Kamyab Infotech Pvt Ltd. These terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the Service — not a licence to the software itself.
If you send us feedback or feature suggestions, we may use them without restriction and without owing you compensation.
8. Bring-your-own AI key (BYOK)
AI analysis in ThreadClarity is optional and runs on your own AI provider account. You supply an API key for a supported provider — currently Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic. If you do not configure a key, no AI features run and no chat content is sent to any AI provider.
- You pay your provider. All tokens, requests and charges incurred on your key are your cost and your responsibility. We do not resell AI capacity, do not mark it up, and are not liable for the size of your provider bill — including a bill caused by a large archive, a retry, or a misconfiguration.
- Their terms apply to you. When you enable AI analysis, excerpts of your chat content are transmitted to the AI provider you chose. That transfer is governed by that provider's terms of service, privacy policy, data-retention and model-training practices. Read them. We cannot control or vary them.
- Third-party responsibility for third-party data. Because chat exports contain other people's personal data, sending them to an AI provider is a disclosure to that provider. Your representations in section 5 must cover it.
- Key handling. Your API key is stored encrypted at rest and is used only to make requests on your behalf. Keep it scoped and rate-limited at the provider, and revoke it at the provider if you stop using ThreadClarity.
- AI output is not verified. Summaries, titles and action items are generated by a third-party model and can be incomplete, mistaken or fabricated. Check them before relying on them.
9. Accuracy & the limits of thread detection
ThreadClarity's thread detection is an algorithmic inference. It groups messages using reply metadata, topic similarity and timing heuristics. It is a reading aid — it is not a forensic examination, not an expert opinion, not a chain-of-custody-preserving process, and not a legal determination of what was said, by whom, when, or what it meant.
Specifically, you acknowledge that:
- Messages may be assigned to the wrong thread, split across threads, or merged with unrelated ones. Thread boundaries are estimates, not facts.
- ThreadClarity reads the export file you give it. It cannot detect whether that file was edited, truncated, selectively exported, or fabricated before you uploaded it, and it makes no representation about authenticity.
- Timestamps, display names and reply links are taken from the export as-is, including any timezone or encoding quirks introduced by the source application.
- Output is not admissible evidence by virtue of having been produced by ThreadClarity, and we do not act as an expert witness or forensic examiner.
If you intend to use output in litigation, an internal investigation, a disciplinary proceeding, a regulatory filing, or any other matter with legal or employment consequences, you must independently verify it against the source data and take your own professional advice. You use the output at your own risk.
10. Fees, credits & retention plans
ThreadClarity is sold in two ways, and you can use either or both:
- Export credits — a one-time, pay-as-you-go purchase. Each credit entitles you to process and download one export. Credits are consumable, are drawn down as you use them, and are not a subscription.
- Retention plan — an optional recurring subscription that keeps your processed reports hosted, stored and searchable in your account for as long as the plan is active, instead of them being deleted on the standard schedule.
Current prices are on the pricing page. All amounts are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are subject to GST at the applicable rate. Payments are collected by our payment gateway, Razorpay; we never see or store your full card number or UPI credentials.
Retention plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until cancelled. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before increasing the renewal price of an active plan. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
If a retention payment fails and is not cured, we may suspend hosted access to your stored reports. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the grace period that applies before stored reports are deleted.
11. Availability & support
We aim to keep ThreadClarity available continuously but we do not commit to a specific uptime percentage unless we have signed a separate written service-level agreement with you. We may take the Service down for maintenance, and will try to schedule significant maintenance outside Indian business hours.
Support is provided by email at support@kamyab.co.in. Our target first-response time and contact details are on the contact page.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that thread detection or AI analysis will be accurate or complete, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service will meet your requirements. No advice or information obtained from us creates any warranty not expressly stated here.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for our fraud):
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, anticipated savings, or data, however caused;
- we are not liable for any decision, allegation, claim, disciplinary action, dismissal, or legal outcome that you or anyone else reaches on the basis of ThreadClarity output;
- we are not liable for charges you incur with your AI provider, or for that provider's acts, omissions, outages, data handling or model behaviour;
- we are not liable for loss of exports or stored reports deleted in accordance with our published retention schedule, or after cancellation in accordance with the Refund & Cancellation Policy. You are responsible for downloading and keeping your own copies.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you actually paid us in the three (3) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹5,000.
14. Indemnity
You will indemnify, defend and hold harmless Kamyab Infotech Pvt Ltd, its directors, employees and contractors from and against any claim, demand, proceeding, fine, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
- chat data you uploaded without the rights or lawful basis required by section 5, including any complaint, notice or proceeding brought by a person whose personal data was in that upload;
- your breach of section 6 (Acceptable use) or of any applicable law;
- your use of, or reliance on, ThreadClarity output; and
- any regulatory action under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 attributable to your instructions to us as processor.
15. Suspension & termination
You may stop using ThreadClarity at any time, cancel a retention plan from your account, and request deletion of your account and data by writing to support@kamyab.co.in.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if payment fails and is not cured, if we are required to by law or a competent authority, or if continued provision exposes us to legal risk. Where the circumstances allow, we will give you notice and a chance to fix the problem; for breaches of section 6 we may act immediately.
On termination: your right to use the Service ends; any unused credits are dealt with under the Refund & Cancellation Policy; and your data is deleted after the grace period described in that policy and in our Privacy Policy. Sections 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 18 survive termination.
16. Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising out of them or the Service are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
The courts at New Delhi, DL, India have exclusive jurisdiction, and you and we submit to that jurisdiction. Before starting proceedings, both sides agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute by writing to support@kamyab.co.in and allowing thirty (30) days for a response.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service, our pricing model, or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
For material changes — anything that meaningfully reduces your rights or increases your obligations — we will give you at least fifteen (15) days' notice by email to the address on your account, or by an in-app notice, before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the revised terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and cancel any retention plan before the effective date.
